​​Hilde Nijs' oeuvre is characterized by diversity: a unique mix of paintings, drawings, installations, sculptures, mixed media, monoprints, graphic and digital techniques, collages, sculptural ceramics and glass art.

Her work is based on concepts of humanism. As an artistic and social researcher she investigates the existential questions about 'The Human Condition' in our contemporary challenging time and ever-changing human identity.
